CYBER SECURITY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE CSCx
Cyber security has become a vital part of the digital world. With its rapid growth, the global cyber security market is expected to reach USD 270 Billion by 2026, while the cyber security workforce gap is expected to be around 4 Million globally.
SLASSCOM, Sri Lanka’s sole knowledge and innovation chamber for the IT-BPM industry has recognized this global opportunity and has launched SLASSCOM Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CSCx) with the prime purpose of elevating Sri Lanka to a global cybersecurity hub, to offer cutting-edge cyber security products and services across the globe. SLASSCOM CSCx carries an ambitious goal of earning an export revenue of USD 500 Million and to create 10000 new Cyber Security jobs by 2025. This will augment Sri Lanka IT-MPB industry’s goal of generating USD 5Bn export revenue by 2025.
SLASSCOM CSCx plans to create a vibrant eco-system of Sri Lankan cyber security service providers, startups, and education service providers to build capacity and to create a globally competitive cyber security portfolio. In addition, CSCx will also play a pivotal role in positioning Sri Lankan cyber security products and services under a strong umbrella brand.
