Wtech talks forge forward with a host of inspiring stories and case studies

Sri Lanka Women Technopreneurs are forging ahead as they create new ways of doing business. Some are just getting started as they bravely step out of their comfort zone and take the plunge, whilst others have created waves and become industry disruptors.

The success stories showcased of these inspiring personalities include an impressive lineup of case studies. These ranged from how one founder created a block chain-based traceability solution that connects the entire supply chain, a groundbreaking solution that attracted significant funding from a Japanese VC firm, to a young PR maven named the “Most Influential Content Marketeer” by WMC , who turned that talent into founding a news aggregator and publishing company. Others included a technopreneuers journey in health innovation from 3D printing for healthcare to an innovation consultancy that designs groundbreaking solutions in healthcare access and delivery.

Also showcased were a startup technoprenuer setting up a platform offering unique product line and digitization services spaning across multiple verticals that include health, HRM, virtual solutions, collaborative games.

In addition, Ms. Hira Fernando CEO of Careerly, a Washington D.C. based career platform that leverages technology to help thousands of students and recent graduates find jobs who is a Sri Lankan/Swiss national, is also a personality who supports and provide leadership to the Women Technopreneurs Forum as the ambitious initiative gets off the ground.

Reaching across the key regions of the county, the forum was also conducted in all three languages that included Sinhala, English and Tamil.
