The Jaffna IT week: An event imperative for inclusive economic and social development through the IT/BPM sector concluded on 6 December.

The event was conducted in 3 phases. The future careers program on 3rd and 4th December at Vembady Girls high school witnessed over 2500 school children attending a career guidance session on the prospects of choosing IT as a career. The IT/BPM Export and Entrepreneurship forums resulted in over 60 Entrepreneurs from the Jaffna district learning from best practices of renown entrepreneurs in the IT sector as well as being made aware about the support the government of Sri Lanka offers for such businesses.

The Jaffna IT week concluded with the IT conference on 6 December at the University of Jaffna where over 200 students from state university IT faculties in Sri Lanka were given insights on the latest developments in the local and global IT industry.
