HSBC Global Service Centre Sri Lanka commenced operations in April 2004 as a fully owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc to deliver high quality financial and professional services to the Group’s global operations and businesses.

The GSC Sri Lanka operation was initially set-up at World Trade Centre, Colombo 1 and later moved into its own state-of-the-art building in Rajagiriya.

Set-up as a show case operation in Sri Lanka, this building is a model facility incorporating best practices from similar Centres in other countries and incorporates the most advanced information technology currently available.

GSC Sri Lanka has over 2,500 staff working a 24/7 operation to support the HSBC Businesses in 20 countries across 7 regions.
