Sri Lanka has been shortlisted for the “Outsourcing destination of the year” by the European Outsourcing Association (EOA) with Belarus, Fiji and Egypt.

The European Outsourcing Association is the centre of excellence for outsourcing in Europe.

It is a membership organisation, representing the interests of companies and individuals which span the breadth of the outsourcing industry: buyers, suppliers and advisors.

The EOA is committed to advancing the outsourcing profession and improving and growing the outsourcing industry by driving awareness, education, standards and thought leadership.

Now in its seventh year, the EOA Awards recognise and celebrate the significant achievements of companies who have demonstrated innovation, excellence and best-practice in Pan-European outsourcing.

NOA CEO and EOA Director Kerry Hallard said “This year we’ve had an unprecedented number of entries of excellent quality, which really is indicative of the high standard of outsourcing programs being implemented across Europe. The sheer variety of submissions from both buyers and service providers demonstrates the ever-growing diversity of programs and collaborations in this dynamic outsourcing industry.

The shortlist is truly representative of the best and brightest that European outsourcing has to offer, with innovation, collaboration and customer - centricity inherently featured throughout. The award winners will be announced in Sofia, Bulgaria on October 6 and we’re very excited to see which partnerships and organizations will be crowned as the best of Europe’s outsourcing elite.”

The award “Outsourcing Destination of the Year” was open to buy-side, suppliers, support services and destination management organizations who wish to nominate an offshoring location which demonstrated a strong recent performance concerning outsourcing rather than one company’s performance in that country. Being shortlisted for the award puts Sri Lanka on the map as one of the leading destinations for outsourcing of Information Technology and Business Process Management.
