SLASSCOM’s Chairman and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of IFS, Ranil Rajapakse, was honored to present to His Excellency President Gotabaya Rajapaksa “The Delivery Destination of the Year 2019” award received by SLASSCOM for Sri Lanka. The Delivery Destination of the Year Award, established by the Global Sourcing Association, champions best practice in sourcing and recognizes delivery destinations that deliver excellent results and value addition to the sourcing industry. The award highlights Sri Lanka’s ingenuity, capability and attractiveness as a compelling global destination for the IT/BPM industry.

The award was presented at a meeting with His Excellency President Gotabaya Rajapaksa where SLASSCOM and other chambers representing the industry and industry leaders gathered to discuss the way forward for the IT/BPM industry, where the president shared his vision of reachin`g US$3 billion export earnings and capacity building to create 300,000 technology experts by 2025.
